River Canoeing
Join Naturalist Billie Wille to canoe the East Fork of the Des Moines River. We will begin at 9 a.m. at Veteran's Park by the boat ramp in Algona, car pool to Plum Creek Dam to launch. We will spend about 2 hours canoeing the river back to Veteran's Park and take out at the boat ramp.
First trip is scheduled for Saturday, June 27th.
Second trip is scheduled for Saturday, July 11th.
Registration is required by calling 515-295-2138. We have a limited number of canoes.
Both trips are weather permitting, please listen to KLGA the day of the event in case of cancellation.
Children 4th grade and under must be accompanied by an adult or youth age 16 or older.
